Why learn about negotiation practices, especially in the municipal sector?

In your work, you negotiate with:

  • Local elected officials, MPs and MNAs, political attachés
  • Provincial and municipal officers
  • Businesspeople
  • Volunteers and leaders of non-profits
  • Your employees
  • Citizens, future bosses…

It all needs to be managed with a minimum of conflict, despite sometimes-major differences of opinion.

That means you need to negotiate, but mostly, you must know how to negotiate.

This project is made possible through funding from the Secrétariat aux relations avec les Québécois d’expression anglaise.

Clientèle visée

Directors general and clerk-treasurers in municipalities, regional county municipalities (RCMs) and intermunicipal boards.
